I. About wegrowideas.eu
wegrowideas.eu is a crowdfunding platform, which allows to raise funds for projects or business ideas from a large number of backers. Thus, through wegrowideas.eu you can financially support projects presented on the Platform or start campaigns to present your project for which you need funding.
We inform you that the owner and administrator of the wegrowideas.eu Platform is Fundația Civitas pentru Societatea Civilă Cluj, a legal entity established under Romanian law, headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, Eremia Grigorescu, no. 77, Cluj county, Romania, tax code 24260911, phone +40-264-590.554, phone/fax: +40-264-590.555, e-mail address: office@civitas.ro.
Fundația Civitas pentru Societatea Civilă Cluj is not a financial institution, an investment bank, a financial consultant, or a regulated entity and no financial or investment services are offered through the wegrowideas.eu Platform. The purpose of the wegrowideas.eu Platform is to temporarily facilitate the conduct of crowdfunding rounds by companies interested in implementing innovative projects and to offer the general public the opportunity to financially support those projects.
Fundația Civitas pentru Societatea Civilă Cluj does not take possession of the funds at any time and does not offer payment services.

III. General information regarding the use of the Platform
The Platform may only be used according to its purpose, i.e. for viewing, creating an account, supporting Campaigns, initiating Campaigns, logging into a personal account. The Platform may not be used to make any illegal transactions, illegal payments, fraudulent payments, to publish or transmit any defamatory, threatening, obscene, indecent, abusive, or similar material. Users are fully responsible for any action and/or payment made through the Platform.
To avoid any doubt, the Organization is solely the administrator of the Platform and has no involvement in the relationship between the Users of the Platform. The Organization will make a minimal check but does not guarantee the veracity of the information communicated in the Campaigns promoted on the Platform. Furthermore, the Organization does not guarantee in any way the actual implementation by the Initiators of the campaigns funded through the Platform. Therefore, before making any payment to support a Campaign, we recommend that you thoroughly inform yourself about the Campaign and its Initiator.
The Organization only mediates the relationship between Backers and Initiators and does not assume any responsibility for the contractual relationship mediated through the Platform.
The Organization reserves the right to restrict Users from accessing some or all features of the Platform and to restrict the promotion of Campaigns if, in the Organization’s reasonable opinion, there is a suspected fraud on the part of the User, if the User engages in conduct that may harm the interests of the Organization or other Users, if the User misuses the Platform, or if the User violates these Terms of Use or other Platform Policies. Also, the selection of Campaigns that are promoted on the platform is the exclusive attribute of the Organization.
The Organization cannot guarantee the continuous and uninterrupted use of the Platform. It is possible that errors, failures, viruses or other malicious behavior may occur on the Platform or on servers that render it unavailable. We will take all measures to limit and remove such unpleasant events as soon as possible. You may not interfere with the operation of the Platform or take any action to interfere with computer equipment for any reason and regardless of the result.
IV. Registering on the Platform
In order to use the Platform as a Backer or an Initiator you need to create a user account on the Platform.
For this purpose, please use the “My Account” button on the Platform’s home page and go through the necessary steps to create your account. You are required to provide the information requested and to fill in all fields appropriately, completely, correctly and truthfully.
The account can be accessed using an access password, which is known only by you. You are fully responsible for keeping your password secure. Please be aware that by providing your account password to others, you risk giving them access to your personal information, and the Organization assumes no responsibility for such interference.
Any natural person, regardless of nationality, who is at least 18 years of age at the time of account creation may create an account on the Platform. We do not knowingly allow persons under the age of 18 to create Accounts that allow access to the Platform.
V. Initiating and running the Campaigns
Please be informed that project-funding Campaigns can only be initiated by legal entities, through their representatives, who have a user account on the Platform.
Prior to initiating a Campaign, please note that the operating mechanism of Campaigns is based on the all or nothing principle. Thus, funding for the project can only be obtained if the campaign has reached its funding objective, meaning that the full amount needed to implement the project has been collected. If the Campaign does not reach its funding objective, the full amount raised will be returned to the Backers and the Initiator will not be able to benefit from it.
To start a campaign on wegrowideas.eu, please follow the next steps:
- Log in to the Platform and press the “Start a campaign” button.
- Fill the registration form completely to register your campaign, following all the instructions mentioned in the form.
You must provide only truthful and accurate data. It is forbidden to publish/give false, misleading, inaccurate information or materials containing software viruses.
The information to be provided relates in essence to:
- general data about the organization: organization name, brand name, name of legal representative, tax identification code, address of registered office, link to online platforms: website, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
- general campaign data: name of the Campaign, Campaign Initiator (designated person), UN Sustainable Development area/goals, which can be found here, required amount, Campaign duration/period.
- description of the project/campaign, including a video presentation We recommend answering the following questions in the content of the presentation: What is your project idea and/or business model? What is the innovative element you propose? What is the social impact of your project/business? How will you use the amount raised? Why would a backer choose to support your campaign? What are the benefits of your rewards?
- Information about rewards for backers.
- Information on how to promote your campaign.
The Initiator will also have to upload the following documents required by the Organization for the checks required by the legislation on the prevention and sanctioning of money laundering and terrorist financing: certificate of the Trade Register regarding organization information not older than 30 days and registration certificate.
- Once you have completed all the steps and filled in all the fields, press the “Submit” button.
In the following days, the proposed campaign will be reviewed by our team. We will get back to you with an email explaining the conclusions of the evaluation. As part of the evaluation, the Organization has the right to request additional information and documents to those provided in the application form. If the result of the evaluation is positive, we will approve the publication of the initiated Campaign on the Platform.
We inform you that we have the right to reject and/or deactivate without prior notice any Campaign that in our opinion does not comply with these Terms and Use or other conditions specified on the site, appears to be suspected fraud/non-compliance with the legislation in force or may harm the interests of the Organization or other Users.
At the end of the Campaign period, if the Campaign has reached its funding objective, we will notify you through a confirmation email indicating the steps you need to take to receive the funds collected and start implementing the project.
One of the fields of the application form involves describing the project and uploading some photographic and videographic materials. Please note that these must comply with the following conditions:
- The duration of the video must not exceed 4 minutes.
- The video must contain subtitles in an international language.
- The material must be clear, eloquent and as relevant as possible to the campaign and the project.
Make sure you have full copyright of these materials, and if other people are featured in the material, make sure you have their written consent to use and publish their image in the material.
Please note that you have full responsibility for the materials you make available to us. By accepting these terms of use, you expressly declare that you own all intellectual property rights in the photographic and videographic materials and that you have the necessary written agreements to use and publish the image/voice of all persons appearing in these materials. The Initiator remains fully liable to the Organization for any infringement of intellectual property rights or image rights resulting from the Initiator’s act or omission, including any disputes from third parties.
VI. Backing Campaigns
Campaigns published on the Platform can be backed by any natural or legal person who has an active user account on the site.
To support Campaigns, please complete the following steps:
- Log in to the site and click on the “Active campaigns” button.
- Select one or more Campaigns you wish to back.
- Choose the amount you want to back the project and check what reward you receive for your contribution.
- Make the payment of the amount on the payment page to which you will be directed. You can view the payment details in your user account. For payment processing we cooperate with the payment processor Stripe. Please carefully study the terms of use regarding payment processing, which you can find here.
- Check whether you have received the payment confirmation email.
Please note that the amounts paid to support a Campaign will only be transferred to the Campaign Initiator if the Campaign has reached its funding objective, i.e. the full amount needed to implement the project has been raised. However, the reward set by the Campaign Initiator will only be granted if the Campaign has reached its funding objective.
If the Campaign you wanted to support fails to meet its funding goal at the end of its term, the amounts you have paid to support that campaign will be refunded to you as soon as possible. We inform you that in this situation you are no longer entitled to the reward set by the Campaign Initiator. Also keep in mind that your payment processor or bank may charge fees for processing your payments. Please consider the payment policy of your payment processor and bank.
Please note that there are several risks that can occur in the running of a Campaign, such as Campaigns not being completed, important changes to the Campaign occurring during its running, inaccurate information provided by the Initiator, non-delivery of Rewards, non-implementation of the funded project and other such risks. The Organization does not assume any liability for such risks, and by deciding to support a Campaign you expressly assume all of these risks.
VII. Rewards
At the end of the Campaigns, if they have achieved their Funding Objective, the Initiator will deliver to the Backers the Rewards specified in the Campaign description. The Initiator is obliged to deliver the Rewards in accordance with the conditions set out in the Campaign description.
Any changes to the delivery time and conditions must be notified to the Backers by the Initiator. The Organization has absolutely no responsibility for the Rewards and delivery of the Rewards.
The Initiators have the possibility to contact the Backers in order to request information regarding the delivery of the Rewards or specific preferences regarding the Rewards. All information collected by the Initiators will be used by the Initiators solely for the purpose of the delivery of the Rewards and the Initiators are obliged to delete such information after delivery.
VIII. Payments and methods of payment
The Payment Processing Services are provided to Users by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited, (“Stripe”), headquartered in Ireland, The One Building, Grand Canal Street – Lower, Dublin 2, registered with the Registrar of Companies in Ireland under number 599050, an entity under the supervision of the Central Bank of Ireland (reference number: C187865) and authorized as an electronic money institution.
In relation to payments made via the Platform please be informed that you have a direct contractual relationship with Stripe, any payment made via the Platform will be governed by the Payment Processor’s Terms of Use, therefore we recommend that you study them carefully.
We are not responsible for the incorrect processing of your payment. We are not responsible for errors made through the payment system, including but not limited to losses you incur using the card payment system.
Payment from Backers
To make payments in order to back projects, please go to the Campaign you wish to support and select the amount you wish to contribute.
To make your payment you will be directed to the payment processor page where you will follow the payment instructions. Payment can be made with a bank card. Please note that once the payment has been made, it cannot be cancelled/refunded.
Payment of collected amounts to the Initiators
Please note that for each campaign an individual account will be created by the Payment Processor and the payments made by the Backers will be transferred directly to the account of the Campaign that the Backers wished to fund.
The payment of the amounts collected within a Campaign will be made to the bank account of the Initiator only if the Campaign has reached its Funding Objective. The transfer of amounts will be made within approximately 17 days after the end of the Campaign duration.
However, the Organization does not guarantee compliance with the time limit for transferring the amounts or transferring them in any of the following situations: disputes/litigation over amounts transferred by Backers, violations of the Terms of Use or other Platform Policies, suspected fraud and the like.
Return of amounts to Backers
If the Funding Objective has not been reached, the amounts collected in a Campaign will be returned to the Backers no later than 17 days after the end of the Campaign.
The commission charged by the Payment Processor will be retained, according to its Terms of Use.
Fees
The Organization does not charge any fee for the use of the Platform.
Nevertheless, we inform you that for the processing of payments made through the Platform, the payment processor with whom we collaborate charges the following commissions: 1.4% + 1LEU for European Economic Area cards (+1.1% for UK cards) and 2.9% + 1LEU for international cards /commissions indicated on this page. Certain bank commissions may also be charged for transfer or currency exchange.
Payment processor fees and bank fees are borne by the Initiators for Campaigns that have reached their funding goal or by the Supporters for the amounts transferred to support a campaign that has not reached its funding goal.
IX. Liability and Limitations
The Organization does not assume the risks associated with relations between Platform Users and does not mediate conflicts between them.
By creating and using the Account, the User assumes responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality of the Account data (user and password) and for managing access to the Account, and is responsible under the law for the activity carried out through his Account.
By accessing the Site, creating the Account, creating Campaigns, backing Campaigns, using the Site, etc., the User expressly and unequivocally accepts the Terms of Use of the Site in the latest version communicated on the Site. Subsequent to the creation of the Account, the use of the content is equivalent to the acceptance of the changes made to the Terms of Use of the Site and/or the updated versions of the Terms of Use. The User is responsible for checking the final version of the Terms of Use whenever he/she uses the Site.
Acceptance of the Terms of use of the website is confirmed by ticking the corresponding checkbox on the website and/or by creating a Campaign and/or making an online payment.
We shall not be liable for any damages of any kind that the User or any other third party may suffer as a result of our performance of any of our obligations under these Terms of use.
The Organization shall not be liable for any loss (material, financial, data or information) that may occur directly or indirectly due to the information included on the Platform or the failure or malfunction of this Platform.
We cannot be held liable for any damage to your computer or viruses that may infect your computer or other equipment as a result of your access to, use of, or browsing on our Site or your downloading of any content, information, materials, data, text, images, video or audio from the Platform.
We are not liable for any injury, loss, claim, indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind arising out of or in any way connected with any use of the Platform or the content, data, materials or information found on the Platform.
X. Complaints
Any complaint related to access, use, registration on the Platform, initiation of a Campaign, support of a Campaign and the like, shall be communicated to us directly, either by phone at: +40-264-590.554, phone/fax: +40-264-590.555 or by e-mail at: office@civitas.ro.
Your complaint will be registered and you will receive a written reply to the email address mentioned when you inform us of your complaint within 15 business days at the latest.
The User declares that he/she agrees not to make these complaints public (on social networks, media, discussions at private parties or in any other way) subject to the payment of compensation for the damage caused to the Organization by these actions.
Any complaint shall be filed within a maximum of one month from the date of the complaint.
In the event of a dispute regarding payments made via the Platform, please contact the Payment Processor. The Organization will be exonerated from any liability in this respect. The dispute resolution procedure in this category is determined exclusively by the Payment Processor and is available on the Stripe website (https://support.stripe.com/questions/dispute-process-and-submitting-evidence).
Also, in relation to disputes in connection with the actions of the Initiator, such as failure to comply with the obligation to deliver the Rewards or infringement of intellectual property/image rights, the disputes will be resolved by the Initiator, the Initiator being solely responsible for the fulfilment of its obligations, and the Organization shall be released from any liability in this regard.
XI. Intellectual property
The content of the Platform, including but not limited to logo, stylised representations, symbols, images, photographs, text content, information, structure, program materials, know-how, content, structure, program administration and the like, are the exclusive property of the Organization. You may not copy, distribute, publish, modify, add to, use, display, include, link to, transmit, remove any signs, photographs, images, text snippets, display, sell, etc., any content, data, information, photographs, interviews, videos or other information found on the Site without the express written permission of the Organization. You are not allowed to transmit your Platform access password to a third party.
No User acquires, by using and accessing the Site, any right or license to use any of the information on the Platform or any intellectual/industrial property rights to the products and/or services ordered from the Platform. No user has the right to use any automatic or manual device to monitor materials available on the Platform.
The Organization also owns the proprietary right (including without limitation copyright and other intellectual property rights) to the concept, name, content of the we grow ideas project.
With regard to the photographic and videographic materials that Initiators upload to the Platform when creating Campaigns, all copyrights shall remain their property. However, by accepting these Terms of use, the Initiator grants the Organization the right to use the photographic and videographic materials both during and after the Campaign for the purpose of promoting the Platform. In this regard, the Organization has the right to publish the photographic and videographic materials made available on any of its communication channels, provided that any such publication is related to the we grow ideas and project.

XIII. Newsletters
When creating an account on the Platform, the User has the possibility to express his/her consent to receive Newsletters.
The Newsletter is a means of regular, exclusively electronic (e-mail, SMS) information on products, services, events, promotions, etc. for a given period, without any commitment on the part of the Owner with regard to the information contained therein.
The user may withdraw this agreement at any time, without any obligation, by simply contacting our representative at the email address office@civitas.ro or by clicking on the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of each Newsletter received.
XIV. Force majeure
Neither of the contracting parties shall be liable for failure to perform on time and/or improper performance – in whole or in part – of any obligation incumbent upon it under this contract, if the failure to perform or improper performance of that obligation was caused by force majeure, as defined by law, for reasons beyond the control of the parties.
The party invoking force majeure is obliged to notify the other party within 5 (five) days of the occurrence of the event and to take all possible measures to limit its consequences.
XV. Applicable law. Disputes
This document shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Romanian law. Any disagreements arising between the owner of the site and the User in relation to the relations arising from the use of the Site shall be settled amicably, and in case of failure, shall be submitted to the competent courts of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
XVI. Final provisions
This Platform is owned by Fundația Civitas pentru Societatea Civilă Cluj, which gives you the right to access and use the Site subject to your acceptance of these Terms of use. By accessing and using the Site you automatically and unequivocally agree to be bound by the Terms of use.
The Organization has the right to modify the Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice, by posting the updated version on the Platform, and the User is obliged to read the Terms of use whenever accessing the Platform. The User has the obligation to strictly comply with the Terms of use on the Platform and may not claim or defend himself/herself with ignorance of the Terms of use on the Platform, valid at the time of accessing, initiating/supporting a Campaign.
The Platform Administrator reserves the right to modify the structure and interface of any page or sub-page of the Platform at any time and at any freely chosen interval of time, having the right to temporarily, partially or totally discontinue the services made available to Users through the Platform without any individual or general prior notice.
